Dr. Blackett can be described as open, warm and knowledgeable and above all approachable.  He brings a wealth of over 20 years of practice experience to each patient encounter.  He has a particularly keen interest besides Ob/Gyn medical services, in weight management and the interaction between men and women. He also addresses in detail the whole person and lifestyle improvements and goals. His practice aims to create and sustain an environment where women experience compassionate, personalized and wholesome health care, based on individual patient needs.  

Dr. Blackett received his medical doctorate in 1982 from Washington University, in St. Louis, Missouri.  He did his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis, Tennessee 1982 - 1986.  He has been in private practice since 1986. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology since 1991 and is a fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

 He is very active in the community, holds many leadership positions in the Methodist and Baptist hospital systems. He is a past president of the Bluff City Medical Society. He holds memberships in many medical organizations, and also is actively involved in his church.

Hope Miller received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 2000.  She received her Master of Nursing at Vanderbilt University in Nashville in 2001.  She was subsequently certified as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. She had extensive experience in obstetrics as a Labor and Delivery Nurse.

She has been in private practice for over 10 years and has been adjunct faculty at the University of Memphis in their Master of Science in Nursing program for 8 years. She has been in practice with Dr. Blackett for 6 years.
